Self Portrait Assignment

The challenge was to create a self portrait wihtout taking any pictures of yourself.  We were asked to play with more advanced techniques for developing film and create our own technique in the process.  It was a lot of fun.  I spent a lot of time playing around in the darkroom not knowing what time or what day it was outside.  Eventually I got to the final image which is the last one in this post.

More Photography

This first image came from our second assignment.  The idea was to pick an object and photograph it.  I used zippers.
One of our last assignments was to do portraits and self portraits.  The teacher challenged us to not simply take pictures of faces or even people.  Instead we tried to fnd things to represent them.
The final was to take a series of images with a theme and frame them accordingly.  I used recylcing so I took pictures of trash organized into piles and framed them using ziplock baggies that were drying off from being washed and reused.

Traditional Photography

You may be getting tired of photographs by now, but don't worry.  I'll upload figure drawings after I get through these.  These images come from my Photo 1 class.  The teacher had us do some interesting projects to help us learn so each photo is labeled with the name of the project it came from.

Digital Photography

I love photography.  I like the textures and details that can really make the image pop.  Another plus is finding interesting shots to show people the beauty of the things around them.

Drawings

These are some of my favorite old drawings.  Well, the first one is a scratchboard, but it still counts as a drawing in my book.

Archive Art: Printmaking

I was having problems deciding which old art pieces to upload and how to organize them.  So I decided to just post something before I figured that all out.  Here are some prints, absorb and enjoy.  And critique.
